Indications & Uses
Multiple myeloma in combination with dexamethasone; maintenance therapy following autologous stem cell transplant; transfusion-dependent anemia due to myelodysplastic syndromes; relapsed mantle cell lymphoma; and follicular lymphoma.
Contraindications
Pregnancy (Boxed Warning: severe birth defects and embryo-fetal mortality).
Side Effects & Warnings
Embryo-fetal toxicity, hematologic toxicity (severe neutropenia, thrombocytopenia), deep vein thrombosis, pulmonary embolism, diarrhea, and fatigue.
Drug & Dietary Interactions
Concomitant use of erythropoietic agents or estrogen-containing therapies may increase thromboembolic risk.
