Indications & Uses
Adjuvant treatment of HER2-overexpressing node-positive or node-negative breast cancer, metastatic HER2-overexpressing breast cancer, and HER2-overexpressing metastatic gastric or gastroesophageal junction adenocarcinoma.
Contraindications
None with approved oncology indications. Caution in patients with pre-existing cardiac dysfunction or prior anthracycline exposure.
Side Effects & Warnings
Cardiomyopathy (decreased LVEF), infusion-related reactions, embryo-fetal toxicity, pulmonary toxicity, fever, chills, nausea, headache, and weakness.
Drug & Dietary Interactions
Administration in combination with anthracyclines substantially increases risk of severe cardiac failure.
