There are many types of cancer, including :
- Carcinomas : Starts in cells that make up the skin or tissue lining organs.
- Lymphomas : Blood cancer such as Hodgkin lymphoma or non-Hodgkin
- Leukemias : Affects the blood and bone marrow.
- Brain tumors : Growth of cells in brain ( e.g.: glioblastoma)
- Sarcomas: Rare malignant tumors developed in connective tissue like bone, muscle, fat or cartilage
Cancer symptoms vary widely or have no symptoms. Some symptoms include abnormal bumps, unexplained fevers, night sweats, or unintentional weight loss.
Cancer treatments include surgery, chemotherapy, and radiation therapy. Cancer is the second leading cause of death globally. In countries with strong health systems, early detection and quality treatment can improve survival rates.
